In Silence with Hildegard of Bingen and Hadewijch of Brabant

January 30 - February 1
$360
Two towering mystics of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries are the Benedictine Abbess Hildegard of Bingen and the Beguine poet Hadewijch of Brabant.  Each in their own way epitomizes the flowering of female mysticism that flourished in the High Middle Ages.  In Hildegard we encounter the God-saturated prophet, visionary, and reformer.  In Hadewijch we encounter the God-saturated bride of Christ and lover of God.  By exploring these two extraordinary women whose writings have resounded throughout the centuries and are as relevant today as ever, it is the goal that the passionate fire of God’s love may be kindled anew in us.
