Tending Soul through Dream

Tending Soul through Dream:
Without a vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18
In Biblical scripture, for people to receive dreams and visions is common. In fact, the absence of dreams or visions was sorely noted. Life in modernity tells a different story; dreams are often ignored or devalued and nightmares terrify, while waking visions are viewed with skepticism and sometimes psychologically pathologized. But what about the scripture of our lives? This retreat will offer participants multiple ways to explore the sacred dimension of images – images given in dreamtime or ones provided during the retreat. Through experimenting with the practices and sharing what happens, we will embody our identities as anam cara, soul friends. Tending to and exploring images, whatever their source, can support us in bearing the griefs and stresses of the waking world, open new capacities within us, and lead us into unexpected, meaningful, and joyful experiences and adventures. There will be opportunities to sign up for a private dream session with Liz. Join this retreat to make space to attune to the sacred material of your life, the gathered community, and the land. The days will include music and poetry, relaxation and gentle movement, and options for creative expression. People from all walks of life are warmly welcome.
