Paint Your Faith

Led By: Elizabeth Rundquist
Suggested Donation: $325

Friday, 24 January – Sunday, 26 January 2020

Limited to seven participants.

Have you ever looked at an image of the Christ Child? Or an old oak tree here on the Monastery grounds, or the cross in the chapel.? Maybe none of these. Perhaps the image that sticks in your mind is something only known to you. Perhaps you have never been to Holy Cross Monastery before and you are looking for something, you don’t know what. Perhaps as you participate in “ Paint Your Faith” you may be able to catch a glimmer. As you emerge yourself in the experience of visual expression, participating as you wish in the Daily Office, you may come away with a clearer idea of what your Faith means to you. We will meet regularly. Painting and journaling, meeting in group discussion, and fellowship will comprise our weekend. All art materials will provided as a part of the class.

Elizabeth Rundquist, ATR-BC, ATCS. I am a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist, and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. I am also an artist. I am a life long Episcopalian and a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church, Teaneck, NJ, a Member of the Diocesan Council for the Diocese of Newark. For me, painting is another language helping me express what I cannot put into words. I take great pleasure in facilitating others to tap into their creative selves. Using brushes, pencils and paint may help to express something that had been hidden deep within.
