School

Holy Cross is an Anglican faith-based primary school set on the beautiful grounds of the former Hillendale Monastery, 5km from Makhanda. We are a bilingual isiXhosa/English school. We have passionate teachers, small classes (our largest class has 18 children), and a strong environmental focus. Founded by the brothers of the Order of the Holy Cross and with brothers serving on our board of directors, the school is based on a deep belief that the love of children must inform everything that we do.
